Delft Blue or Delftware. The city of Delft became the major centre of production of Dutch tin-glazed earthenware, a form of faience. Faience or faïence is the conventional name in English for fine tin-glazed pottery on a buff earthenware body.
It is the seat of for the Netherlands and hosts the International Court of Justice. The name means "The Count's Hedge", "The Count's Wood". Today, this name is only used in some official documents like birth and marriage certificates.
